AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga yesterday received the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Receiving the vaccine, the chief minister on his official Twitter handle, “Took my first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on 04.03.2021 at 10:25 AM.”
Besides CM Zoramthanga, Deputy chief minister Tawnluia and at least 12 other legislators also took the COVID-19 vaccine, officials said.

According to the state health department, until Wednesday, a total of 28,350 people had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
No fresh COVID-19 cases in Mizoram were reported on Thursday.
The number of active cases in the state is 17, while over 4,400 people have recovered from the disease.
While the COVID-19 tally of the state remained at 4,427, the number of death due to coronavirus in the state is 10.
