AIZAWL: On Wednesday, Mizoram’s COVID tally rose up to 49,950 and the death toll increased to 185. Reportedly 6OO new cases of infected patients are found which include over 133 children and two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans.
According to reports, Mizoram has total 9,084 numbers of active cases while the number of recovery holds at 40,681.
Out of 600 new cases, 90 were confirmed at RT-PCR laboratory in Zoram Medical College (ZMC) while 428 from various districts were tested through Rapid Antigen Test, 81 cases through TrueNat tests and one was tested through Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) test.

More than 7.53 lakh samples have been tested for COVID till now. As per the report, the state’s recovery rate is reported to be 81.44 per cent while the death rate is 0.37 per cent.
Meanwhile, as informed by the state immunisation officer Lalzawmi, over 6.47 lakh people have been vaccinated till Tuesday.
The report says, Aizawl district has the highest new number of 312 cases along with Kolasib with 88 cases and Mamit with 42 cases as stated by the official.
