AGARTALA: Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb today said the rural households in the state have more gas and tap water connections in comparison to they had until 2017.
Before the year 2017, only 19,000 rural households had tap water connections, while 5.8 lakh households had gas connections.
Currently, over 2 lakh rural households in the state have tap water connections, and around 8.5 lakh houses have gas connections.
“Before 2017, only 19,000 rural households had tap water connections in Tripura. Today, nearly 2 lakh rural households have tap water connections. Before 2017, 5.8 lakh households had gas connections in Tripura. Today, 8.5 lakh houses have gas connections! – PM @narendramodi ji,” CM Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.
