GUWAHATI: The Assam State Disaster Management Authority today revised its COVID-19 restrictions permitting restaurants, dhabas and other eateries to operate after 6 pm, but in compliance with local regulations.
The statement, signed by chief secretary Jishnu Baruah, stated that though the eateries can entertain dine-in guests till 6 pm, takeaway and home deliveries would be available even after the deadline as per local regulations.
The same will be applicable for outside guests of restaurants operating within a hotel or resort. However, in-house guests of the same hotel or resort would be allowed to dine-in at usual time.

Delivery of essential goods will also continue after 6 pm.
For the cold storages and warehouses, though they may continue after 6 pm, the sale counters, showroom etc attached to the warehouses should be close after 6 pm.
There is no restriction on pharmacies, hospitals, animal care centres and veterinary clinics.
