GANGTOK: Sikkim in the past 24 hours reported 206 fresh cases of COVID-19 infections pushing the total number of positive cases in the state to 25,856.
The positivity rate of the infection in the state is 9.6%, said the Health Department.
The fresh cases were reported from the 2,495 samples tested Tuesday.
Of the total fresh cases, 62 cases were found in the East district, followed by West district (111), South district (52), and North district.
Meanwhile, West Sikkim remains a COVID-19 hotspot, with the district recording over 100 cases per day for four days in a row.

The state currently has 3,117 active cases of COVID-19, while the death toll due to the infection stands at 333.
The state on the other hand has reported a total of 22,139 recoveries of COVID patients so far with 198 recoveries during the period.
114 patients are being treated in local hospitals, while 13 of them are in the intensive care unit (ICU).
