AGARTALA: The Tripura Government has decided to reopen schools and colleges for Class 6 to 12 from August 25 following decreasing COVID-19 positivity rate in the State.
For the schools with no adequate rooms available to operate in double shifts. Morning shift between 8 am and 11 am whereas evening shift to operate between 12 noon and 3 pm.
"All schools functioning in double shifts will make a roster for students with half students in each class attending school daily with alternate seats free with 100% teacher attendance," read a part of the memorandum released by the government.
The order to come into effect for government, government-funded and private schools and madrasas in the state, including in the Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas.
As schools for Classes 1 to 5 will remain suspended, the teachers of those classes will promote the ‘Notun Disha’ project among students of Classes 6 to 8.
