Assam: Gaurav Gogoi sounds poll bugle in Majuli ahead of conclusion of first phase of election campaign

Gaurav Gogoi, the Congress candidate from the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency, made a grand entrance at the Kamalabari ghat in Majuli, where he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic supporters.

The atmosphere was vibrant as Gaurav Gogoi joined by the traditional Bihuwa Bihuvati (Bihu dancers), showcasing a deep connection with the local culture.

Marching through Kamalabari alongside his supporters, Gogoi's presence was marked by energy and determination. The excitement peaked as he led a bike rally, symbolizing unity and momentum in his campaign.

Speaking to the media, Gaurav Gogoi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Majuli, stating, "The sentiments that the people of Majuli have towards us (Congress), that has given me the candidature/ticket for the upcoming elections. Thus, all the corruption that has taken place in Majuli, in the future I want to take these issues to Delhi."
