Mizoram election: CM Zoramthanga reacts to BJP's manifesto, says if voted power, they may take down the Moon

Mizoram CM Zoramthanga took a potshot at its ally BJP's manifesto over its promise to establish a Special Team to investigate SEDP SCAM (MNF Flagship Programme).

Mizoram CM Zoramthanga during a press conference in Aizawl, said, "If they come to power, they can do anything, they may take down the Stars, the Moon and the Sun. If they come into power, they may promise anything... I don't think that they will do it, because once they know that it is well recorded to the beneficiaries..."

"From all the political atmosphere and all the reports that I have seen, we believe that we shall be able to form the government (after the Assembly election)," says Mizoram CM Zoramthanga.

Earlier BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda targeted the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) over the SEDP (Socio-Economic Development Programme) at an election rally held in Aiwal on October 28.

Addressing a massive election rally at Kamalanagar, Nadda targeted the MNF over various issues, particularly regarding the 3 lakh SEDP, and questioned whether anyone had actually received the promised benefits.
