Arunachal Assembly Election: CM Khandu casts vote at his alma mater in Tawang, confident of BJP's victory

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu exercised his franchise at the polling station of Govt Secondary School Bomba in the Tawang constituency on April 19. Notably, Khandu had received his schooling from this very institution.

Addressing the media after casting his vote, Khandu expressed confidence in the BJP government, stating that his interactions with constituents across various constituencies had revealed satisfaction with the administration. He highlighted the progress brought about in Arunachal Pradesh under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, indicating widespread support for the ruling party.

"In the Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections, 10 seats have already been secured uncontested, leaving 50 seats up for polling," Khandu stated. He expressed optimism, asserting that the BJP is poised to secure victory in all 60 seats.

"Today marks the commencement of the first phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections, with a notable increase in the number of electors compared to 2019," Khandu noted. "The electorate has shown heightened awareness and enthusiasm towards the democratic process."

"The prevailing sentiment in Arunachal Pradesh appears to favour the BJP, with the symbol of the lotus flower, representing the party, expected to emerge victorious," Khandu emphasised. "Projections suggest that both Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh will be won by the BJP in this election cycle."
