Arunachal: Polling personnel brave harsh terrain to reach remote Siang district ahead of LS polls

As the clock ticks closer to the simultaneous state and parliamentary elections scheduled for April 19th in Arunachal Pradesh, election teams have been dispatched to remote villages to ensure smooth polling processes.

On April 17th, polling teams set out for Gate and Gasheng villages under Payum in Siang district, carrying Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) on their backs, climbing across narrow valleys, ready to facilitate the electoral exercise.

One of the focal points of electoral activity is the Gacheng polling station in Payum revenue circle, located in the Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The serene setting belies the flurry of democratic engagement unfolding as election staff members work diligently to set up polling booths and make necessary preparations for the upcoming elections.
