Assam: BPF chief Mohilary announces candidate names Barpeta constituency

The Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has announced its candidate for the crucial Barpeta constituency. BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary revealed that Samesh Uddin will be vying for the parliamentary seat in Barpeta, marking a strategic move by the party to strengthen its presence in key electoral battlegrounds.

Addressing party members and supporters, Mohilary declared BPF's intention to contest in a total of 5 constituencies, including Kokrajhar, Darrang-Udalguri, Lakhimpur, Barpeta, and Guwahati. However, BPF will announce the name of the candidate for Guwahati constituency soon.

"Star campaigner is already there in our party. I am a star campaigner", addresses the BPF chief, by mentioning names of other star campaigners including Khampa.

Notably, Khampha Borgayari, Durgadas Boro, and Raju Deori have already been projected as candidates for the Kokrajhar, Darrang-Udalguri, and Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.
"We don't have any hire system in our party. Whatever we have we are original", says the BPF chief.

The announcement came during the inauguration of the election management committee office at JD Road in Kokrajhar city, where Mohilary reaffirmed BPF's commitment to grassroots democracy and inclusive representation.
