Assam: Congress leader Rakibul Hussain threatens to complain to ECI against Himanta Biswa Sarma

In an election rally held at Lengtisinga in Bongaigaon district, Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain from Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency made serious allegations against the state administration, accusing them of biased behavior.

Expressing his frustration on the dais, Hussain alleged, "The state administration is behaving in favor." He specifically pointed out an incident where permission was denied to land a police officer's helicopter at a helipad adjacent to a Congress election meeting at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College premises in Lengtisinga.

"This denial of permission is unacceptable, and I have lodged a complaint with the Election Commission regarding this incident," Hussain stated, highlighting his efforts to address what he perceives as unfair treatment.

Hussain further expressed confidence in the Congress party's prospects in the upcoming elections. "Gaurav Gogoi and Lurinjyoti Gogoi are sure to win all the five constituencies in the first phase. The remaining three will witness fierce competition," he claimed, indicating his optimism about the party's performance.

"The people of Assam want Himanta Biswa Sarma to lose his Chief minister position, and as a beginning to that process people want to remove Badaruddin Azmal. The people are waiting for May 7 so that they can remove AIUDF and BJP from power", claims Hussain.

Responding to Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah's comments on the use of sanitizers after people shakes hands with him, Hussain questioned, "Does Jayanta Malla Baruah walk after me?"

Hussain also addressed taunts made by the chief minister, stating, "Congress is a cow who doesn't give milk," calling such remarks "fluid and nasty."
