Assam Lok Sabha elections 2024: Himanta Biswa Sarma assures 50,000 more jobs; police department interview in July

Assam's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma held an election campaign for Sarbananada Sonowal in Digboi, in the district of Tinsukia today. 

In a testament to fulfilling electoral promises, Assam Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to empowering the youth through job opportunities, underscoring the government's dedication to meritocracy and transparency.
"You all should remember that in the last Vidhan Sabha election, I told the people of Assam that if our government comes to power then I will give 1 lakh government jobs to the youths”, said the CM.

He further said despite criticism from the opposition he gave jobs to 1 lakh youths. 

Himanta addressed, “the boys come and ask me when will the run of the police happen again? And I told them we will again hold an interview for the police in the month of July”.

He mentioned that earlier he gave jobs to 1 lakh youths, and now he will give 50 thousand more government jobs to the youth. 

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister revealed plans for further recruitment drives, stating, "We will hold interviews for police positions in July, continuing our efforts to create more job opportunities." This announcement demonstrates a continued focus on addressing the aspirations and needs of the state's youth.

Highlighting the merit-based nature of the recruitment process, the Chief Minister commended the integrity of recent appointments, particularly within the police force. He noted, "Young individuals from Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts have secured positions without succumbing to bribery, reflecting our commitment to fair practices."

In a resolute message to the public, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's stance against corruption, declaring, "We will ensure that job opportunities are accessible to all, without the need for intermediaries or bribes." He urged citizens to strengthen their support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), promising continued efforts to foster economic prosperity and employment growth.

He further urged the masses saying that if the people keep strengthening the BJP, then the party will keep showering with job and business opportunities to the sons and daughters of the common masses. Nobody has to bribe the brokers.
