Assam Lok Sabha elections: MLA Phanidar Talukdar predicts BJP’s victory in first phase polls

Ahead of the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Assam, many political revelations have unfolded.

MLA Phanidhar Talukdar has predicted the allocation of five critical seats in the initial phase, giving his early opinion into the democratic scenario which is currently underway.

Reports indicate that the BJP alliance is positioned to clinch victory in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies, potentially reshaping the political landscape.

Meanwhile, amidst accusations of forged documents which raise concerns about electrical integrity, GSP party’s Naba Kumar Sarania faces a setback.

Projections suggest overwhelming victories for BJP candidates in significant constituencies, with estimated margins of 6 lakh votes in Dibrugarh and 2.5 lakh votes in Jorhat, indicating substantial voter support.

President of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Bhupen Kumar Borah was initially hopeful of securing all seats until noon, however he faced the disappointment of projected zero seats for Congress by 2 pm, which showcases the uncertainty of electoral outcomes.

Congress, on the other hand, grapples with yet another electoral setback, with predictions indicating zero seats, highlighting the ongoing challenges in garnering electoral success.

As the nation awaits the election results, these developments put light on the intrigue and unpredictability which persists in the political arena.
