Assam minister Sabarnanda Sonowal unveils key highlights of BJP manifesto

Just hours after the release of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto in New Delhi, Sabarnanda Sonowal, the Minister of AYUSH, addressed to the media to articulate the significant promises outlined in the document. Amidst the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolute vision for the nation, Sonowal highlighted key initiatives that aim to transform the lives of millions across India.

In an address to the media, Sonowal emphasized the essence of the manifesto, which he described as a comprehensive roadmap for the future well-being of all citizens. Foremost among the pledges unveiled is the introduction of the Ayushman Card, an initiative designed to alleviate the financial burden of medical treatment for individuals and families. Under this scheme, individuals will receive coverage for medical expenses up to 5 lakhs, marking a significant step towards ensuring healthcare accessibility for all.

Sonowal further elaborated on the BJP's commitment to addressing housing needs, revealing plans to provide homes for 3 crore deserving individuals. This ambitious project, valued at an impressive scale of 3 crore homes, underscores the party's dedication to fostering inclusive growth and prosperity across the nation.
In a move aimed at empowering women and fostering entrepreneurship, Sonowal announced the BJP's intention to create 3 crore 'Lakhpoti Baideo' - women entrepreneurs - in a systematic manner. Highlighting the importance of basic amenities for women, Sonowal underscored the BJP's pledge to construct toilets specifically for women, recognizing the pivotal role of sanitation in promoting health and dignity.

Earlier today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its election manifesto. Titled 'Modi ki Guarantee', the manifesto focuses on further development, women's welfare, and a roadmap for a 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India).

The BJP plans to declare the year 2025 as the 'Janjatiya Gaurav Year'. Promises include 'One Nation One Election', 'single electoral roll', and the promotion of 'Lakhpati Didis'. The manifesto also promises to eliminate electricity bills through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

It includes India's bid for the 2036 Olympics, implementation of the National Education Policy, and a law against paper leaks.

The party aims to make India the third largest economy globally and a 'global manufacturing hub'. The manifesto was unveiled in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and party president JP Nadda.
