Assam: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra predicts public sentiment in favour of change and Gaurav Gogoi's victory

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while attending an election rally in Jorhat Lok Sabha seat on April 16 endorsed the Congress candidate Gaurav Gogoi.

She expressed confidence in Gogoi's ability to serve the people effectively upon his election as the Member of Parliament. 

Responding to queries about the Bharatiya Janata Party's apprehension of the Congress, she criticised the politics of the BJP. 

Speaking to the reporters on the line of an election rally in Jorhat ahead of LS polls, Priyanka Ganda Vadra said, "Gaurav Gogoi is an honest, dedicated man and I am confident that when he becomes the MP of Jorjat he will dedicatedly work for the people."

Replying to a question if the BJP-led state government is scared of Congress as the entire Dispur is camping in Jorhart, Gandhi said, "The politics the BJP is playing, the leaders of NDA are always scared of honest leaders...they are scared of leaders who speak the truth... they are scared of those leaders who are connected with the people."

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also reaffirmed that post the rally, the mood of the public is demanding a change and hence Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi will win.
