Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma kicks off poll campaign for NPP in Arunachal

Conrad Sangma, NPP President and Chief Minister of Meghalaya, kickstarted the poll campaign for NPP Part in Arunachal Pradesh.

He was accompanied by James Sangma and his wife. The campaign was held in support of Gokar Basar, the NPP candidate for the Basar Assembly constituency in the Leparada district of Arunachal.

Basar, the current MLA, switched to the NPP after the BJP denied him a ticket. 

Thousands of citizens attended the rally where CM Sangma encouraged them to vote for the NPP for a better Northeast.

In a media interaction, Sangma discussed the party's strategy and dismissed allegations of a one crore seizure from his convoy, stating it was another vehicle and that the NPP had clarified the allegations.
