Nep-Hop Star CJ Gurung Releases Latest Video, 'What You Want'

Kohima, September 9, 2019:

Kohima based musician in the Nep-hop music scene, CJ Gurung, has released his latest music video titled 'What You Want', featuring Viber Bi of GX SOUL.

The music video was directed by Hriiyio Paul of Naga Twist Productions. All the cast members are familiar faces from the region, and include top rappers and models from Nagaland.

Headlight, the Mix Kohima and NCL Streetwear were the co-sponsors for the video project. Cj Gurung has been DJing and promoting Hip Hop for almost 15 years and remained active in promoting artist especially from the Northeast.

The celebrated DJ has opened for HIP HOP heavyweights like DJ PREMIER and multi-platinum selling artist, LIL JON.

Nep-Hop, which is very popular in the Northeastern region of India, is the Nepali form of hip hop. Its elements include MCing, DJing, breakdancing, and graffiti writing. Rap culture was introduced in Nepal through the electronic DJs mixing the classical Nepalese songs with the Western urban style in the early eighties.
