As many as 14 Taliban militants have been killed in a series of operations launched by the Afghan security forces in Ghazni province, said officials on Monday.
Reportedly, the operations were led in turbulent Khawja Omari and Dih Yak districts on Sunday.

As per the official statement of the government authorities, seven arms and weapons caches have also been destroyed so far. However, details about the possible casualties on the side of security forces are yet to be disclosed.
Afghanistan is preparing to hold Presidential election on September 28 following which the Afghan security forces have beefed up offensives on militants.

Meanwhile, the Taliban is yet to claim the death of 14 Taliban militants.
