Manipur cancels HS and Class XI examinations for this year amid COVID surge

IMPHAL: The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) has announced the cancellation of the Higher Secondary and Class XI Examinations for this year amid the surge in COVID-19 cases.

"Government of Manipur in connection with the cancellation of the Higher Secondary Examination, 2021, it is notified that the Higher Secondary and the Class XI Examinations, 2021 stand canceled," read a part of the statement undersigned by Biren Singh, Secretary of COHSEM.

The Higher Secondary and the Class XI Examinations were scheduled to commence from May 8.
