Respecting the peace proposal of the government, Arambai Tenggol representatives have deposited arms and weapons to the government said a leader of Arambai Tenggol, Manindra Mangang.
Addressing to media after the handing over of arms to the authorities concerned, Manindra said that they had handed over the weapons under certain criteria and conditions.
The handover comes two days after representatives of the group met the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum.

The condition includes the implementation of the National Register of Citizens, addressing issues of illegal immigration, end poppy cultivation amongst others.
He continued that for safety and security, the government assured the peripheral areas would be guarded by central and state forces.
They asked for providing general amnesty to Arambai Tenggol, which the government assured to consider it. They agreed to the free movement of Arambai Tenggol.
To a media query related to the lack of surrender or recovery of weapons from the Kuki side, he said that the government has to deal with the complete disarmament of weapons from other communities. As the government has pave the way for peace and respected their peace proposal, Arambai Tenngol handed over the weapons.
