The seized items, confiscated in violation of Manipur’s ban on such products, were officially destroyed on November 7.
The banned goods were recovered from Ningthoujam Chitrasen Singh, 41, of Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai, Imphal West District, who had claimed ownership of the items.
The confiscation and subsequent disposal align with Government Notification No. MED-1401/12/2021-HS-HEALTH, issued on October 18, 2024, by the Chief Secretary of Health and Commissioner of Food Safety, Government of Manipur.
