Meghalaya: Mukul Sangma fires back at Jairam Ramesh's criticism on party, says TMC has waited long enough

Dr. Mukul Sangma, leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Meghalaya and the state's former Chief Minister has fired back at the Indian National Congress (INC). This comes after Jairam Ramesh's remarks about TMC's alleged haste in candidate announcements.

Sangma expressed his disappointment with Congress's recent actions highlighting their disconnect from ground realities. He said "TMC has waited long enough and one can see the whole country has been observing us, waiting patiently."

Dr. Sangma outlined the TMC's intention to present a unified front from the India bloc by collectively selecting candidates to maximize their strength. However, he lamented that this strategy did not materialize due to the lack of cooperation.

Regarding Congress's criticism of TMC's candidate announcements in West Bengal, Sangma reminded them of their own actions in Meghalaya. "If Congress claims that TMC has not waited, they should be reminded that Congress is probably not grounded with what is on the ground zero. This is a complete delink from ground reality," he remarked.

Highlighting Congress's actions, Sangma pointed out that Congress had already announced their candidates for both seats in Meghalaya, despite the purported intent for a united front. He questioned Congress's credibility in accusing TMC of hastiness while engaging in similar actions themselves.
