Centre to deploy multi-disciplinary Central team in Mizoram

AIZAWL: Amid the rise in Omicron cases in India, the Union Health Ministry announced to deploy multi-disciplinary Central teams in Mizoram.

Multi- disciplinary Central teams are to be deployed in 10 states including Mizoram. The other nine states are:Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Punjab.

Informing about the same, the Union Health Ministry said, “A decision has been taken to deploy multi-disciplinary Central teams to 10 identified states some of which are either reporting an increasing number of Omicron and COVID-19 cases or slow vaccination pace.”
