AIZAWL: The Mizoram government on Wednesday extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till July 15 considering the current COVID-19 scenario in the state.
As per the fresh guidelines issued by the state government it is mandatory for the public transportation drivers and shopkeepers to take at least the first dose of COVID vaccine. They should have a certificate proof of their vaccination.
Night curfew will begin from 7:00 pm and remain till 4.00 am across all district headquarters. However, the shops and establishments will be allowed to operate within specific timings.

It further said that all inter-district and intra-state movement of commercial and private vehicles have been allowed.
Church Service will remain not allowed while morning prayers at churches can be carried out, stated the official notification.
Social gathering including birthday and anniversary celebrations are not permitted to avoid crowding of people.
The state government has fixed that no more than 30 people will be allowed attended in Weddings and funerals. Only 25 people will be allowed to attend sports practices arranged in the state.
Public park, picnic spots, cinema halls and Gyms will remain closed along with all educational institutions in the state.
The existing lockdown was scheduled to be lifted on June 30.
