The 20 Mizo Battalion NCC, under the Silchar Group, organised a Vibrant Village Programme on Tuesday at Zokhawthar, a border village in Champhai district, Mizoram.
The event, part of the Government of India's holistic rural development initiative, aimed to spread awareness about social welfare schemes and encourage community engagement.
NCC cadets from various institutions across Champhai district, along with Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), Caretaker Officers (CTOs), teachers, and local residents, participated in an awareness rally supported by the local administration.

The rally began at Zokhawthar High School and moved through the main market near the Indo-Myanmar Border Integrated Check Post (ICP), promoting unity and civic responsibility.
Carrying banners and placards, participants highlighted key issues such as development, social responsibility, and civic participation.
The event concluded with motivational speeches from local dignitaries and NCC officers, urging cadets to lead in areas like anti-drug initiatives, afforestation, blood donation, and cleanliness drives.
