In a video which has surfaced online, leader of opposition and the former Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang, is found trying the art of spearing of log during the Tokhu Emong Festival in Wokha village in Nagaland.

Zeliang lets the spear fly and the weapon rips through the air, only to fall short of its mark. The Lotha tribe members are seen standing around Zeliang and cheering and clapping as the former Chief Minister takes his aim.
The video of the NPF leader, Zeliang, tying his hand at spearing of log has gone viral, and is being shared on Whatsapp groups in Nagaland.

It may be mentioned here that a festive atmosphere prevails in Nagaland at the moment, with all the tribes in the State anxiously awaiting the Hornbill Festival, which will be held next month.
Tokhü Emong (also known as ‘mini Hornbill’), a post-harvest festival celebrated by the Lotha tribe of Nagaland, was held in Wokha district of Nagaland, home to the highest number of Lothas.
The festival was declared open by Lotha Hoho chairman, Er. Mhondamo Ovung, on November 4. According to Lotha Hoho media cell, the inaugural programme was graced by Dr. Chumben Murry, MLA.
It is a festival enjoyed by both the young and the old, praising the God’s for their abundant blessings. Tokhü Emong is also a celebration about brotherhood, forgiveness and oneness.
It is celebrated through sharing of food, gifts, folklore narration and a sumptuous community feast.
