Social media is being used to tarnish our image: NSCN (IM)

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) on Saturday stated that the social media has been used to tarnish the image of NSCN. The NSCN (IM) through a press release stated that, “it is indignant of the social media misuse to tarnish the image of our high profile Naga Army Chief and thereby smudge the organization’s name. Such a social media nuisance is being floated on Facebook by resorting to hacking personal Facebook account by certain unscrupulous person and using ICICI bank from Madhya Pradesh, targeting the Naga Army Longvibu (Chief) Gen. Ningkhan Shimray, MC @ Anthony Shimray and recklessly pestering him to transfer some money. It is understood that this is being done deliberately for the purpose of character assassination as a part of the malicious propaganda against NSCN. The truth shall, however, withstand any wave of adulterated social media contents and no hacking shall prevail over the truth.”
