Nagaland minister Temjen Imna Along gives clarification over investment controversy, dismisses allegations

In response to recent social media buzz about an investment dispute involving Nagaland’s Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, the minister clarified the situation today, dismissing the allegations as related to an old business matter. Reports had circulated online that the Mumbai Police initiated a preliminary inquiry against Along concerning a business investment dispute filed in a Mumbai court.

During a press conference held at his office, Along addressed the claims, explaining that the case in question dates back to 2014-2015, during his time in Mumbai. The dispute stemmed from a business transaction he had conducted with a friend's company in the city. According to the minister, the disagreement over the business deal prompted his friend to seek legal intervention in order to mediate the matter.

While acknowledging that the dispute remains unresolved, Along emphasized that such issues are common in business dealings. He added that the case has yet to reach a conclusion and noted that it is typical for business disputes to experience delays in resolution.
