Inside Northeast has just received reports that 4 Family members of the Kalimpong lady who earlier this week passed away due to complications from the COVID-19, have also tested positive for the contagion.

With this discovery, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state of West Bengal has risen to 37, with there being 3 deaths and 3 recoveries.
Sunita Devi Singh, 44, of Oden Road, Kalimpong was admitted at NBMC and Hospital Isolation ward on March 26, where she tested POSITIVE for the virus. She breathed her last on Monday. It may be recalled that West Bengal reported its first case of coronovirus death in Kolkata on 23 March.
A 57-year-old resident of Dum Dum was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on 16 March. The patient tested positive for the disease on 21 March. She was admitted on March 26. The 44-year-old hailing from Kalimpong had a travel history and was kept in the isolation ward of the NBMCH after she tested positive. The woman had recently returned from Chennai and later tested positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in India has skyrocketed to 1,637, with 45 deaths reported so far. Alarmingly, 10 deaths have been reported the last 24 hours alone.
