India extends suspension of commercial International passenger flights till October 31aviation

Indian government on Wednesday announced the decision of extending the suspension of international flights to and from India till 31st October due to the unrelenting rise in the pandemic across the country.

Earlier, normal international passenger flights to and from India were suspended on March 23 and extended till September 30 in a circular dated August 26, 2020

“In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding Scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hrs 1ST of 3151 October, 2020.

The restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA,” the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) said in a statement released Wednesday evening. "However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis," the DGCA added.
