The Supreme Court of India has reportedly reinstated the woman staffer who had earlier levelled allegations of sexual harassment by former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
The woman staffer had joined her duties and proceeded on leave, as per reports. The Indian Express has reported that all her arrears were also cleared. It may be mentioned here that she had earlier alleged that former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi of sexual harassment while working as a Junior Court Assistant. She had raised the allegations but later was transferred and terminated from her service.

She had cited all her allegations in a representation to the Supreme Court. She had sought an inquiry against Gogoi. Continuous harassment, bribery case and such accusations were detailed in the representation.
The Special Bench, which was formed to look into the matter, found no substance and provided a clean chit to Gogoi. The woman staffer had later withdrawn from the proceedings on the apprehensions that the inquiry was unfair.

Earlier, it was also reported that her husband and brother-in-law were suspended from their positions as head constables in Delhi Police.
It may be mentioned here that Ranjan Gogoi has denied the allegations raised by the woman terming it as “unbelievable”.
