Bengaluru shopkeeper assaulted following confrontation over high volume song played during 'Azaan'

An unfortunate incident unfolded in Siddanna Layout, Bengaluru, last evening on March 17 during 'Azaan' where a shopkeeper played a song at high volume, leading to a confrontation with a group of Muslim youths.

The disagreement escalated, resulting in the shopkeeper being assaulted.

An FIR has been lodged at the Halasuru Gate Police Limit. The Bengaluru Police are currently making efforts to apprehend the accused.

On Sunday evening, a group of six individuals reportedly assaulted a shopkeeper. According to the complainant, the attackers had previously demanded money from him, but he refused to comply. So, in an act of retaliation, they objected to the playing of a devotional song at his shop and proceeded to physically assault him.

The victim sustained injuries and was promptly transported to Victoria Hospital for medical treatment.
