Huge fire guts 150 scrap shops in Pune's Pimpri, no casualties reported

A huge fire erupted in Pune's Kundalwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad that gutted around 150 scrap shops in the wee hours of Saturday, April 6 morning.

As per reports, the fire broke out at around 1.30 am, but has been brought under control.

Earlier, a massive blaze erupted at a power distribution company in Raipur's Kota area in Chhattisgarh, sending plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. Emergency services, including police and firefighters, responded to the scene to contain the inferno.

The fire reportedly originated from a transformer blast in the electricity department's sub-division office near Bharat Mata Chowk.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with flames engulfing the surrounding area and thick smoke obscuring visibility. Local residents alerted the authorities, prompting a rapid deployment of resources to tackle the escalating situation.
