Indian Secular Front holds protest demanding justice in RG Kar Medical College rape case

Indian Secular Front (ISF) staged protests across various constituencies of West Bengal, demanding justice in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape case.

The demonstrations, led by ISF MLA and Chairman Pirzada Mohammad Naushad Siddiqui, highlighted severe concerns about systemic corruption within West Bengal's health department and the alleged failure of the state’s healthcare infrastructure.

Addressing the media, Siddiqui emphasized the urgency of holding the perpetrator accountable without delay. "We demand that the culprit be punished as soon as possible," he stated, underlining the broader issue of corruption within the health sector. His criticism extended to the state’s leadership, calling for the immediate resignation of the Health Minister, whom he accused of failing in his duties.

Siddiqui further stressed the importance of the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) involvement, asserting that justice could only be achieved if the state government cooperates fully with the investigative body. "If the Bengal government cooperates with the CBI, justice will prevail soon," he declared, expressing frustration over what he perceives as the police's failure to perform their duties effectively.

"The whole of Bengal wants justice in the RG Kar college case," Siddiqui affirmed, voicing the widespread anger and disillusionment among the public.
