A huge cache of arms and ammunition and currencies, both Indian and Pakistani, was recovered by the Indian Army and J&K Police, from the terrorists who tried to infiltrate and were engaged by alert troops, earlier on September 16.
Earlier today the Army killed three terrorists who attempted to infiltrate through the Hathlanga forward area of Uri on Saturday at 6:45 am.
"In a Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice and Intelligence agencies, an infiltration bid was foiled today in the morning hours along LoC in Uri Sector, Baramulla," Army's Chinar Corps wrote in a post on X.

According to the Indian Army, the terrorists opened fire on the army which led to an encounter and a fierce gunfight started. The army has maintained a tight cordon-off in the area.
The operation was launched in the Hathlanga forward area in the Uri sector of the north Kashmir district.
Three terrorists tried to infiltrate the Indian side and were engaged by alert troops.
