Tripura prepares grand celebration for PM Modi's birthday, names event "2024 Modi Once More Namo Vikas Utsav"

Tripura is gearing up to showcase a grand celebration in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17, setting an example for the entire nation. 

Spearheaded by Pabiacherra BJP MLA Bhagaban Das, a spectacular event is slated to unfold at the Kumarghat PWD grounds to commemorate the Prime Minister's special day. 

Pabiacherra is located in Kumarghat under Tripura’s Unakoti district.

"We aim to demonstrate Tripura's deep admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and illustrate how the birthday of this towering global leader should be commemorated," said Das during an interview with India Today NE.

Names as the "2024 Modi Once More Namo Vikas Utsav," the event's theme is geared towards advocating for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third consecutive term. 

"Our aspiration is to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi take the oath for a third term in succession. This is the driving force behind our grand event," Das explained. 

When asked about the inauguration, Das said that Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will inaugurate the event in the evening.

“Invitations have been extended to esteemed senior leaders from both the Northeastern states and the Central government. Additionally, Chief Ministers from all the Northeastern states have been invited to grace the occasion”, he said.

Das mentioned that the confirmed guest list will be made public in the coming days. The event's main attraction will feature the renowned Bollywood playback singer Ananya Chakraborty of "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" fame and the accomplished singer Snigdhajit Bhowmik from West Bengal. Furthermore, the former minister outlined a series of programs and charitable initiatives scheduled throughout the day to mark this significant occasion.

"The day will kick off with a morning Yoga session, followed by inspirational speeches by prominent social activists. More than 500 volunteers, adorned in Namo T-shirts, will actively participate in a cleanliness drive across the area," he stated. Additionally, 73 deserving households will be honored with PG ration cards, 73 copies of the Geeta will be distributed to students, and 73 specially-abled individuals will receive crucial disability aids during the event. The central ceremony will culminate in the evening, with all distinguished guests in attendance. The musical extravaganza and prize distribution will follow suit later in the night. "As per our schedule, the festivities will draw to a close at 1:30 in the midnight," Das added.
