In order to keep the situation under control, the civil administration has deployed two columns of the Indian Army and the deployed columns will carry out a flag march in Guwahati.
It is to be mentioned here that the state of Assam is witnessing unrest situation due to the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

The day went off with thousands of protesters moving into the streets, vandalized vehicles and many vehicles have been set on fire.
Following the law and order situation prevailing in the state, the extra deployment has been made and thus will carry out a flag march for the same.
It is to be mentioned here that the state authorities have already imposed curfew in Guwahati from 7 pm today to 6 am tomorrow morning and ban on mobile internet services for 24 hours that is from 7 pm today to 7 pm tomorrow evening.
