Assam Police gun down hardcore militant in Dima Hasao district

Guwahati, December 28, 2018:

A suspected militant was killed in an encounter between Assam Police and members of the militant outfit of the Dimasa National Army today. The incident occurred at Motibra village at Dima Hasao district located approximated 70 kms away from district headquarter Haflong.

The deceased cadre was identified as Jyotish Haflongbar. He was carrying an AK 47 along with live ammunition as well as two mobile handsets. According to reports, massive combing operations are underway in the region to find other militants.
