All Assam Bengali Youth Federation staged protests against the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) in New Delhi.
The Federation alleged that around 12 lakh Bengalis have been excluded from the Assam NRC and demanded their inclusion as they were genuine citizens.

Speaking with Inside Northeast, Vice President of the Tinsukia wing of All Assam Bengali Federation, Promesh Das, said, “Around 12-14 lakh Hindu Bengalis have been excluded from the final Assam NRC despite submitting all the genuine documents. We demand the inclusion of all the genuine citizens in the NRC.”
He added that the All Assam Bengali Youth Federation’s protest in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar is solely to demand the inclusion of the Hindu Bengalis who have been left out of the NRC.
