Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi will be visiting Srinagar soon in order to take stock on how the High Court is functioning there as there were allegations claiming that it was not accessible.
Reportedly, Ranjan Gogoi said that the matter is a very serious one as there are allegations of people not being able to approach the High Court. He decided that he would personally visit Srinagar and take stock of what exactly is going on in there.

The SC has also directed the Chief Justice of the J&K High Court to submit a report on the issue. The J&K HC was asked to file a reported if it was accessible for litigants or not.
However, CJI had also warned the petitioners that if the HC report turns out be contrary, then they might have to face consequences.

The SC further allowed former J&K CM, Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla and Anantnag. However, the SC said that Azad cannot hold any political rally in any region.
