Death toll of Golaghat drinking spurious liquor tragedy reached to 34

Guwahati, February 22, 2019:

The death toll of Golaghat’s spurious liquor drinking tragedy has reached 34 in the evening after being admitted in critical condition at the Civil Hospital in the district.

Earlier in the morning, 22 people died but later on, it increased to 34.

It may be mentioned that three people have been arrested in relation to the case so far as informed by the police.

Meanwhile, MLA of Golaghat constituency, Mrinal Saikia has also reached the spot and is about to hold a review meeting by 7 pm today.

On the other hand, AGP president Atul Bora assured that the party would ask the government to take strict action against the persons involved in the case and also seek remuneration for the family of the deceased.
