Drugs worth Rs 3.36 crore seized in Moreh

Guwahati, February 20, 2019:

A combined team of Moreh Police and 43 Assam Rifles including Woman Police constables on Wednesday apprehended one Myanmarese national from Tengnoupal district in Manipur.

The accused has been identified as Themneilam Haokip alias Neilam.

The team seized 143 packets of brown sugar from her possession that weights 1.817 kg worth Rs. 3.63 crore in the international market.

A case has been registered against the accused in Moreh Police Station. Further investigation is on.
