To aware the voters to participate in the election, Assam Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Sahu on Wednesday has flagged off the Kamakhya-Gandhidham express at Kamakhya railway station in Assam’s capital city Guwahati.
The passenger train carries messages of election: a festival of democracy of every citizen of the country, check your details in the voter list, go vote in Lok Sabha election, 2019, no voter to be left behind etc.
On the occasion, Assam Chief Election Officer, Mukesh Sahu said, “This is an initiative under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program. We are trying to touch with the voters and aware the people how to check their names in the voter list, if not, how to enter names, why is it necessary to vote etc.”
