Exit Poll 2019: NDA likely to win 306 seats, Phir ek baar, Modi sarkar?

Guwahati, May 19, 2019:

The Exit poll of the 2019 election poll are finally out as the polling across the nation which has been held in seven phases has finally come to an end.

And all these polls show a common trend: that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will once again hang onto power, while the United Progressive Alliance will once again be reduced to a minority.

The Times Now-VMR polls paint a bleak picture for the UPA and its a allies as they have been predicted to win only 132 Lok Sabha seats, while the NDA is expected to win handsomely with 306 seats.

Meanwhile, the R Bharat-Jan Ki Baat predicts that the NDA will win 305 seats, while the UPA will win 124 seats. The REPUBLIC-CVOTER exit poll predicts that the break-up will be NDA: 287; UPA: 128. NEWS NATION has predicted that 286 seats for the NDA and 122 seats for the UPA. Today’s Chanakya predicts that that the NDA will win 340 seats, while the UPA will win 70 seats.

If this truly comes to pass, it would perhaps suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meditation in a cave in Kedarnath ahead of the seventh phase when Modi's own Constituency Varanasi went to the polls.

Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has slammed the Election Commission for its alleged favouritism towards the Modi regime and lashed out against the electoral body in a Tweet. Rahul wrote that from Electoral Bonds & EVMs to manipulating the election schedule, NaMo TV, “Modi’s Army” & now the drama in Kedarnath; the Election Commission’s capitulation before Mr Modi & his gang is obvious to all Indians.

Rahul further alleged that the EC used to be feared & respected, but it won't be anymore.

Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram also took swipes at the EC for this alleged "injustice".

He wrote that the PM used religion to influence voting ahead of the polls and condemned him for the this "unacceptable" behavior.
