Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi Slams Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as a "Professional Singer'

Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday slammed Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to be a “professional singer”.

Addressing the media here today, Tarun Gogoi said, “Himanta Biswa Sarma is a professional singer as he sings for whoever is in power."

Reacting to the BJP Minister’s confidence of winning 100 seats in the upcoming election, Gogoi expressed that the Congress will form the government, and added, “Earlier, when Himanta Biswa Sarma was in Congress, he used to sing in favour of me, and now that he is in BJP, he’s doing the same”

The former Chief Minister also announced that the Congress party is open for alliance with the parties who are in opposition to the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

It is to be mentioned here that the Finance Minister has recently commented that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be successful in winning all the seats in the upcoming election.
