Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram Arrested Amid High Drama

New Delhi, August 21, 2019:

Former Union Minister P Chidambaram was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) this evening after high drama outside his South Delhi home.

The scene was complete with slogan-shouting supporters, police, and unprecedented visuals of investigators scaling walls and roof to gain access.

He has been taken by the CBI for questioning.

It is to be mentioned that the former Union Minister was being sought by investigative agencies for nearly 24 hours in connection with a corruption case.
