Guwahati Police SI arrested for taking Bribe

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 7, 2018

The vigilance and anti corruption bureau on Tuesday arrested a sub-inspector of the Paltan Bazaar Police Station, Guwahati for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20 thousand.

The arrested official has been identified as Biren Kumar Bora who was posted at the traffic branch in Paltan Bazaar Police Staion.

According to sources, the official took the bribe from a person identified as  Jayanta Das.

The sleuths are currently interrogating him and his involvement in other corruption related issues.
