The troops of the Guwahati Railway Police on Tuesday recovered 22 pieces of soap boxes containing suspected heroine and apprehended a lady passenger in relation to the case.
The lady was apprehended from Rajdhani Express (Train no. 12423) at Guwahati Railway Station.
The apprehendee has been identified as Abitri Karmakar.
According to official sources, Abitri Karmakar was carrying the contraband item to Delhi that weighed around 297 grams and is worth around Rs. 30 lakhs. According to reports, the lady hails from West Bengal and were supposed to transport the huge consignment from Assam to Delhi.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection to the matter by Guwahati Government Railway Police (GRP) and carrying further investigation into the matter.
