Todd Phillips' 'Joker', which is still running to packed theaters worldwide, has now become the highest grossing DC Comic movie in India.
Continuing its record-breaking trends, 'Joker' has emerged as the highest-grossing film based on a DC Comics property in India, beating out previous record holder Aquaman. (Exact local totals aren't available for both films).

'Joker' is also the #1 DC Comics film in 33 international markets. In the United States and Canada, it still sits at the #1 spot, and has so far earned a meaty $277.6 million. It is also the top-ranked 'R' rated release worldwide, and has surpassed previous record-holder 'Venom' this last weekend.

The 'Joker' origin story, which zoomed into theaters on the 2nd of October, has so far accumulated $849.1 million in box-office receipts, across the globe.
